A pipe at rest

Lighter archive →

That is what this archive is. Roughly eighty pipes at any given time — Dunhill, Peterson, Savinelli, Stanwell, Brigham, Brebbia, Everyman. Each one purchased privately or at estate sale, each one documented before any work begins. Where it is from. When it was made. What its previous steward did with it, where that can be known.

Restoration is conservative. Bowls are reamed and cleaned, never re-finished. Stems are de-oxidized, polished, and re-cut only when damage demands it. Silver mounts are wiped, not stripped. If a stamp has faded with use, it stays that way.

If you see something in the ledger that interests you, write to me. I will tell you everything I know about the piece, send additional photographs, and answer any question about its condition before a single dollar changes hands. That is how I would want to buy a pipe, so that is how I sell them.
